Now that we are so fully aware of the typhoon's aftermath, agencies that usually takes care of the proper waste management are booting their stuff now, big time. They had too, for there are so many things to take care of when it comes to garbage collecting. In fact, all the remains of the flood were just plain trash of all kinds. And those who truly cared can't help but wonder why it has to this way. When all we need to know is the proper handling of garbage and recycling. If only the government gives enough time to focus on the waste management matter, maybe, flood wouldn't be a huge problem at all. Oh well, maybe this is now the time to start making the people know the importance of proper waste disposal since the effect are just about everywhere now, major effect actually. I think, creating ads on on how to do it the right way is a project that government must create in order for the majority of the people be aware and practice as soon as possible. Maybe it's not too late, I believe we still have time to practice proper waste disposal and recycling. After all what happened? truly a lesson learned.

food to fertilizer

My niece called earlier today to asked me about food recycling. And guess what, it took me a while to remember everything - those that I learned during my school years about yes, food recycling. Actually, what comes to my mind first is the food collecting process of the less fortunate people who lives nearby those fast food chains that usually collects the food scraps from the store. And would you believe that those food scraps they collected are being served at their table!? sad story but real. It actually breaks my heart when I saw a feature story on the news sometime last year, they are indeed living out of the food wastes of other people. Oh well.
Anyways, going back to what food recycling is, it is the process of making the wastes into fertilizers by undergoing a process called compost pitting. Then I fully remember, it is one of our school project when I was still in grade 6! we made plant fertilizers out of the food scraps we collected from the canteen! I know it sounds so gooey and all, but yes, it's part of the curriculum and professionals are really doing that. I wonder how my niece would react to that project soon!

I was told by my mom that another family friend of ours are into selling used products such as appliances and other electronic products. Actually, it's not a new thing in business to venture, in fact ever since the other countries started reselling their used items to other countries, hoarders and bulk buyers started sprouting from out of nowhere. From then, they will see if the items they bought can still be resell or just get the parts that still can work for the other items. Anyways, my mom also told me that the family friend focuses on selling second hand computers, read: cheap priced ones, that is why people are coming in to their store to check out their computer units. And now I'm dead curious on how much they sell a unit, and how much they earned from a piece. Maybe bulk buying or by lot bidding is such a good thing when it comes to the trend in business now. If only capital is not a problem, I'd probably tag my mom along so we can venture into this type of business too.

My friend happened to read a post about great getaway with her Bahamas all inclusive vacation, available for the beach bums out there, though i'm really not that sun babe ever since, i were tempted to email and asked the in charge for quotes and the other deals she can hook up for us... you know if ever the husband and i decided to have a sweet and short vacation getaway. and as expected, the lady replied immediately with details on vacation spots she is offering, vacation resorts packages with great prices i must say with the best spot cottages are the ones she sent me. Also, part of the many packages in the quotation is another flyer that tells about the said resort to be one of the sought after destinations for people who wanted to have a super memorable beach wedding! I am one techie girl in the making, in fact, I have been visiting and reading blogs and other sites that talks about the latest gadgets and stuffs in the market today. I was never a technology lover before, although my dad started buying me electronics when I was in high school, but actually, embraced the idea of going gaga over such things? never. Until now. Until my dad gave us (me and my sister) Ipods and other accessories that are so overwhelming! The first night I got that music player unto my hands, I wasn't able to sleep, yes that effect. Anyways, maybe Apple has a special place in my life and just last month, my dear husband gave me an Iphone! I was so amazed and surprised because first, although I told him that if ever I'll be getting a new phone it'll be the Apple brand but never in my thought that I'll be holding one as early as now. Second, we are on a strict budget thus buying one expensive item can really ripped a whole lot of savings from us. But then again, the husband gave me one and I can't argue nor refuse such a lovely present! And speaking of iphone, I am no canvassing online for an affordable iphone dock that I can use specially when sleeping where it can cradle my phone and have it charge, and oh, having a dock that also serves as music speakers is also a thing I am considering now, just checking the price now and comparing with the common docks. I know I don't have the right to actually say things about life, but I know for sure that we are all wanting the same good life for us all. Of course, we can't have it right there and then, the good life that we all wanted are on our hands.. it depends on how we travel through life, how we deal with situations and how we interact with our brothers and sisters. It's not how much money you have in your pocket right, it's not how you tour the work and book expensive inns like Panama City hotels and it's not about the food you eat. But how you takes care of your life, how happy you are with your family and the people that you cares about. It's how you love life.

So it's Sunday and my supposedly rest/bum day. But what am I doing now?! I shouldn't be blogging but see, I am blogging. Duh. My life seems to be so a routine kinda life, but no, not at all actually. In fact, I am riding in one hell of a roller coaster ride, fun and exciting! Well, ok, not always fun and exciting, but most of it are like that, so guess it's carried out to the positive side of life right. so many movies

I don't know if I was able to mention about my latest addiction, watching movies at least one a day. Thanks to my friend Aggie who let me copy her movie collection thus making my EHD full of chick flick movies and yes, comedies too! I just wish my husband is here too so we can watch those great movies together, for sure we'll be laughing our hearts out and feel sad and senti for those drama flicks. Oh well, what can we do, life it is. Just got to wait for another eight months until we can see each other again, oh, who knows, maybe by that time we already have cable subscription or whatever like bell tv! It is sure to be fun! :D

Guess what?! I'm blogging like a mad lady right now, blame it to my five days of procrastination! So now,here I am meeting my deadlines and thinking of what to write. This is so hard, if only I did everything on time, probably I wouldn't harass myself with lot of things, online and offline speaking. Gotta take my weight loss pill too in a while for it has been days since the last time I took my pill. And my body is like what, gained a few pounds from all the eat outs I had with friends and family gatherings too! Argh. Was doing my rounds in my friends blogs this morning when i learned one of them enrolled her boy to this famous swimming school in the metro, it has been a long thinking of mine if i can enroll my daughter to a swim school at her early age, but then i heard that there are so many below one year old babies already enrolled in a baby swim school, it is said to be beneficial for the babies body and breathing too. ive'd been asking friends if they know a swim school that is located here near our place and up to now, summer is just around the corner no one can recommend a place. so we are thinking of bringing my daughter to the metro and see for ourselves if we will avail of it. i'm sure Olin would love to be swimming, she is in fact a water baby, super loves taking a bath and enjoying the water in her inflatable tub. anyways, back to the swim school in the metro, it is also known for the water therapy spa they offer for people of all ages. ive'd been there for three times already, two months after i gave birth and the next two around the mid of last year. we all enjoyed and felt relaxed our session there, especially my dad who super loves the hard water massage it has. we already had plans to go back there once my dad comes home for his vacation. it's such a good thing that there are places like this that people can go nowadays, enjoy and get pampered just like the famous sundances spa that results-oriented medical facility that serves the community in different states. not only relaxation is their best offer but the beautification also shaping one's body and bringing out the best in every client, in fact I'm very curious about their Hot Tubs. So let's just say I am no good when it comes to IT and other technical terms that has to do with computers and programming, or whatever other professional calls it. Basically because my finished course has nothing to do with computer and all that jazz. I remember how my mom used to convince me in taking computer related courses since most of my batch mates are into it. But the hard headed me refuse to take her advice and chose to pursue another course.
And now?! oh how I wish to take back the time and follow my mom's advice. If only I knew then that the career path I'll be having now is about computer, web design and all those html's... Techniques on Reducing Camera Shake

1. Elbows In

As often as possible pull your elbows in to your body and exhale completely before depressing the shutter. When you’re working with a wide aperture or low shutter speed (or both), even a breath can introduce shake. Pulling your elbows tight to your body can really help keep you steady. I also press my elbows firmly into my chest for even greater stability.

2. Raise Your Left Shoulder….

I am definitely a right eyed photographer, but this tip that I learned from “The Moment It Clicks” by Joe McNally, requires that I shift for a moment to my left eye. What I’m doing here is raising my left shoulder, and bracing my left elbow into my rib-cage (no arrow for this one). For further stability, you can pull your right elbow in to your chest. As always, exhale completely before depressing the shutter to avoid introducing shake.

3. Create a Tripod With Your Knee

You can create your own tripod by resting your elbow on your knee while in a seated position. Again, bring that other elbow in for greater support.

4. Lay Down

These two images illustrate perhaps the most obvious way to avoid shake without a tripod. Lie flat and let the lens sit directly on the ground. The problem with this is that you’re likely to have quite a downward tilt to the lens and unless you’re aiming to photograph the pavement, you probably won’t end up with the shot you’re hoping for. In the first image you’ll notice that I placed my hand flat against the cement and balanced the lens on top of it to give myself some height. In the second image you’ll see that I created a fist with my hand to give myself even greater height.

5. The Machine Gun Hold

This next technique is sometimes referred to as the machine gun hold. I rarely use this technique as I find it awkward and difficult to maintain for more than a second or two. Just because it doesn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t for you. . . give it a try.

6. Cradle It

In this next image you’ll see that I created a sort of cradle for the lens between my shoulder and my wrist. I also stabilized the hold by balancing my elbow on my knee.
